Teacher's Workshop
Planning plays an important part in the success of each classes visit to the Chatham-Kent Children's Water Festival. Educators will be encouraged to participate in a workshop to help them plan a productive and rewarding day at the festival. During the workshop, they will have the opportunity to experience some of the activities first hand. Teachers attending the workshop will also receive a Teacher Planning Guide containing Activity Centre Descriptions with curriculum links, a site map and Festival Scheduler. The scheduler may be used by teachers to mark activities that they wish each of their class groups to visit. Workshop participants will also receive a bucket of resource materials, pre- and post- festival activities for in the classroom, Water Activity Books, quizzes and more. The workshop is a great time for the sharing of ideas and a wonderful opportunity for teacher to prepare for their class's festival experience.
