Overview

Students will be asked to
sort different types of rock specimens and classify them based on their observations. They will also
be asked which types of rock may be best suited to store water. Porosity and permeability will be
discussed at other activities as well. The activity will also include a discussion on fossils, the
three types of rock, and the effects of erosion and glaciations on the landscape.
